After a lot of professional cameras in the past, it was difficult for me to point and shoot a robust and flexible to find. The camera is everything I was looking a bit more.
Pros:
I am impressed by the degree of control of the H55 gave me.
panoramic image built in (nice to see immediate results rather than just a peek).
Image quality - wow @ 14MP, images are beautiful.
Color accuracy is very good with good lighting.
The camera can be very good and very easy to use.
The angle is exceptional at this price. As a professional I have a few hundred in the lens only.
Excellent zoom range. I was pleasantly surprised.
Battery life seems a lot better than the W330 previously purchased and returned.
Disadvantages:
The flash is far from balanced and it seems too hot to be used as a filling. I'm new to the camera and use them to professional teams, so I'm sure I'm expecting too much. That, or just do not have mastered.
Color Accuracy is divided into low light levels. I had no real meter with me, I could not tell the exact number is starting to happen. I'd say about 4 lux is about as good as it gets. Then all of that, it gets pretty noisy. I experimented with some night shots when I put it on a tripod. But I will not be my hope.
Does not appear that you can manually close the lens. Not a deal breaker, but it seems fairly simple job to offer.
